The databases are not comprehensive, having been compiled from the sources available at the time, and have not been compared recently with other sources which may have since become available.

Research on the Kiplings (and others of the Metis peoples) of the Hudson Bay region by Rod MacQuarrie and others are stored within the C.E.Kipling Metis collection in the Glenbow Museum, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
